What will your day look like?
As a North East Lincolnshire Council Affordable Housing Officer, your days will be interesting and varied. You will spend time talking to developers, landowners and registered providers to discuss solutions to challenges and develop new opportunities that will lead to more social and affordable homes in the borough. You will work closely with planning colleagues, reviewing pre-application and planning application submissions and drafting Section 106 agreements that ensure new developments meet local need. You will advise senior council officers and elected members on the actions the borough takes to incentivise and support new developments, thinking innovatively and creatively to bring best practice and new ideas into the work you lead.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual who has worked in planning or an affordable housing environment, leading affordable and social housing projects that include involvement in Section 106 processes. They will have a sound knowledge of the development of affordable and social housing and the relevant Section 106 legal agreements.
They will be good at building constructive relationships with people from a range of teams and sectors, with confident and clear written and verbal communication. They will have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload.
