The Maths Department at Bishop Barrington Academy is a driven department, who are relentless in striving for excellence.

The curriculum is carefully designed to ensure that students are constantly making progress through appropriate levels of challenge, for all students. The curriculum facilitates and creates a purposeful and productive learning environment, in which students apply modelled practice and feel like they can thenattempt something independently and take risks with their work.

The department is committed to providing students with an enriching curriculum, with opportunities for students to attend enrichment sessions, participate in trust-wide maths challenges, and attend additional key stage 4 intervention sessions and tuition. These wider curriculum opportunities further enhance the department\’s focus on raising aspirations.
