IT Technician

Band 8-9, SCP 19 – SCP 27 (£31,067 – £37,035)

37 hours with 40 days annual leave. Flexible working

Are you an ambitious and highly motivated IT Technician with proven experience of delivering excellent IT technical support and service. We have a unique and exciting opportunity to support Lingfield Trust in creating its own bespoke IT network and support.

Lingfield Education Trust is a strong trust of 24 Primary schools serving the North East community and are continuing to grow our family of schools. This growth has enabled us to expand our central service support to our schools to include IT. You would be a key person in that team and will have the opportunity to work with the Head of IT in delivering and setting up this new service.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of maintaining a safe, data protection compliant IT & networking solution within an education context
  • Experience of using and supporting others in the use of IT
  • Experience of maintaining and setting up IT equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of adhering to and updating IT policies, processes and systems

The role also involves staff training and attending meetings, ensuring high-quality IT services.
