Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are seeking to recruit a full time Business Support Assistant for the Early Help Child and Family Intervention Service based within Dormanstown Family Hub to provide administrative and clerical support. The Child and Family Intervention service operates Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and 8.30am to 4.30pm on a Friday. It is closed evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

As a Business Support Assistant, you will work as part of a small team who support children, young people and families open to the Child and Family Intervention Team under the remit of Early Help. You will be responsible for supporting with the administrative tasks for the service. You will work alongside co-located partners within the Family Hubs, this includes Health Services and Early Help colleagues.

Tasks will include:

  • Creating outcome letters for referrals
  • Minute taking at meetings
  • Uploading documents

Training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will already be IT literate in Excel and Word. Good communication skills, previous experience of business administration, customer services and/or working with children and families and using case management systems would also be desirable. Candidates should also hold an NVQ level 3 business administration.
