About the Role
A flexible and motivated individual is required to join our Transactions Team to support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. This is a busy team with a wide variety of tasks and opportunities to work with services across the whole Council. You will be a committed and motivated individual with a desire to learn and improve. A strong team player, you will have a flexible approach to ensure the delivery of the Council and the team's key priorities through a customer focussed service.
You will learn to use the Council's financial systems, developing knowledge relating to transactions, taxes, ledger management, payments, collection of income and GDPR. This is a fixed-term contract for 18 months. National Minimum Wage for your age will apply after the first year.
Apprenticeship Qualification
During your apprenticeship, you will be working towards the nationally recognised Business Administrator, level 3 qualification at Redcar College.
Essential Requirements
- Apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16 years old with no upper age limit.
- You will need to have a minimum of Grade 4 (equivalent to Grade C or above) at GCSE English and Maths or functional skills level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
- You will need to be committed/willing to work towards the level 3 qualification. Applicants who have already achieved Business Administration Level 3 or higher will be ineligible to apply.
