A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for a full-time Administration Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team who support our Fleet department based at our Morrison Busty depot in Annfield Plain, Stanley.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy, be well-organised and flexible, have good IT skills, and manage changing priorities. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your own initiative. On occasion, there may be a requirement to work in other locations providing cover if needed.

The duties include:

  • Reception duties
  • Dealing with enquiries over the telephone, face-to-face, and email
  • Liaising with workshop personnel
  • Raising jobs on the Fleet Management System for vehicle repairs, tyres, taxi, and MOT testing
  • Monitoring fuel stocks and ordering fuel
  • General administration duties

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You must have 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent. Please refer to the attached person specification for the full criteria.

HYBRID WORKING

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy with 2 days in the workplace and 3 days remote. This model is pro-rated for part-time roles and arrangements are at managers\’ discretion, or you can work all contracted hours in the workplace if preferred.
