About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Asphalt Technician to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out asphalt testing, inspections, sampling, and quality control on a range of road and surfacing projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out asphalt sampling and testing on site and in the laboratory.
- Monitor asphalt quality and ensure materials meet required specifications.
- Conduct temperature, density, compaction and other relevant tests.
- Complete accurate test results, records and reports.
- Work closely with site teams, engineers and contractors.
- Identify and report any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Travel to different project sites as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in asphalt, highways, construction or materials testing.
- Knowledge of asphalt materials, testing procedures and quality control.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Relevant qualifications or industry experience would be an advantage.
