Middlesbrough’s Staying Put Agency (SPA) is highly regarded for delivering a wide range of services that support older, vulnerable, and disabled residents to live safely and independently in their own homes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who enjoys working as part of an experienced, supportive, and friendly team, delivering an invaluable service to the residents of Middlesbrough.
In this role, you will support the administration of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) by visiting residents in their homes, completing application forms and carrying out means tests.
You will provide ongoing support throughout the adaptations process, acting as a key point of contact for residents. You will also help residents maintain their independence by supporting the delivery of small-scale adaptations, including stairlifts, access ramps, and door entry systems.
As part of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive range of housing assistance services, including hoarding intervention, support with keeping warm, advice on home efficiency, and assistance with property repairs and maintenance issues.
You will work with a diverse range of residents who require adaptations, repairs, and improvements to their homes, using your knowledge and skills to identify and secure appropriate grants and funding opportunities.
