North Durham Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to take on the role of Year Manager. Working closely with the Head of Inclusion and Head of Year, you will be responsible for a specific year group. As a key member of our Year Team, you'll play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of student well-being.
Your responsibilities include:
- Fostering a safe and secure learning environment
- Ensuring the promotion and adherence to Academy policies
- Nurturing a learning culture with high expectations
- Being the primary point of contact for parents and caregivers
- Leading year group assemblies and maintaining a strong presence on campus
- Monitoring student attendance, punctuality, and behaviour
- Initiating first-day absence procedures and collating attendance data
- Managing behaviour incidents effectively
- Providing daily care, guidance, and support to students in your year group
- Collaborating with external agencies to support students
- Setting an example for students in work ethic, conduct, dress code, punctuality, and attendance
Your positive influence will play a pivotal role in shaping our students' lives. Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust. You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
