Helping tell the story of the North East
One day you might be filming at a small music venue, the next day condensing policy into a 30 second reel, you might be getting the local media excited one of our new programmes or organising an event for small business owners. No two days are the same – however the common thread, is telling the stories of the North East and our people.
We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Communications, Engagement and Events Officer to help bring the work of the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority to life. You will work with a team of marketing and communications experts on some huge events, programmes and opportunities– always asking, what’s in it for the people of the North East.
The Role
You will deliver a broad range of communications, engagement and event activity, from creating content for social media, websites and campaigns, to supporting events and identifying media opportunities, giving you a strong bank of experience.
About You
You’ll be an excellent communicator with a talent for creating engaging communications and building positive relationships. You’ll have experience delivering communications across a range of channels, managing competing priorities and using insight and data to evaluate success. Just as importantly, you’ll be proactive, organised and collaborative, with a passion for helping people connect with the work we do. A commitment to inclusion, accessibility and continuous improvement will be central to your approach.
