We are looking for a Children Not in School (CNIS) Co-ordinator to join Northumberland's Education Welfare Service and play a key role in supporting the council's statutory responsibilities for Children Missing Education (CME), Elective Home Education (EHE) and the Children Not in School Register. This is a term time only role.
This varied and rewarding role involves maintaining statutory records and databases, coordinating monthly CME Tracking Panels, supporting attendance monitoring at the Education Engagement Hub, preparing management information and data returns. You will also contribute to safeguarding arrangements through attendance monitoring and first-day absence procedures.
We are seeking someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, experience of providing high-quality administrative support, strong ICT and data management skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of safeguarding and an understanding of education-related processes would be advantageous.
