Permanent Contract β Part Time 7.5 hours per week β Term Time Only. Required to start Monday 12th October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The Governors of Shincliffe C of E Primary School wish to appoint a committed, hardworking, well organised person with a genuine interest in children to the position of Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant. We are seeking a mid-day supervisor to join our lunch time team and contribute positively to the welfare and play of the children in our school.
Responsibilities:
- Be caring, hardworking and reliable
- Have the ability to work as part of a team
- Can supervise meals and encourage children to use cutlery properly
- Can set up and supervise playground games with children
- Have experience of helping young children with additional learning needs and/or disabilities
Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
