Sele First School is a large school. Our Nursery classes offer 39 places. All other classes are organised on the basis of age into national curriculum groupings with two or three classes in each year group. We currently have 373 children on roll. Our governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working Teaching Assistant to join their very successful team from as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed term contract working at 30 hours per week; term time only. The working hours will be 8.45am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday. This post is a fixed term contract until August 2027, supporting a SEND child in Early Years.

The posts will involve 1:1 and small group work to support the school to be able to meet the individual needs of children. Experience and ability to manage challenging behaviour is desirable. The successful candidates must be flexible in the ability to work across school. Having a good understanding of how early reading is taught and a good understanding of Maths concepts would be supportive to this role.
