Moorbridge is based on 3 sites, each offering a different type of provision to cater for the diverse needs of its pupils. The school is proud of its broad and balanced KS3 and KS4 curriculum, and its aim is for as many KS4 students as possible to achieve 5 GCSE’s 9-4 / equivalent.

Classroom Teaching Assistant for KS3 or KS4

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team at Moorbridge Pupil Referral Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students, who have additional needs in the areas of Social, Emotional and Mental health (SEMH).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students into class and liaise closely with class teachers to plan and differentiate work
  • Have a good understanding of how to support young people to regulate their emotions and develop a ‘growth mindset’
  • Communicate effectively with parents/careers, colleagues, and multi-agency professionals
  • Submit written reports and update monitoring systems, as well as contribute to SEN reviews

We are looking for an inspiring and passionateTeaching Assistantto promote the highest standards of teaching and learning, delivering the very best foreach and everystudent.

We are looking for a special person to become part of the Moorbridge team. All of our students have additional needs in the area of SEMH. Some have Secondary Needs in the areas of Communication and Interaction, Sensory and Physical and or Cognition and Learning. Sometimes these students need 1:1 support to help them successfully access learning opportunities.

You will need to be a good communicator; both orally and in writing. It is imperative to communicate effectively with parents/ carers, colleagues and multi-agency professionals. You will also be required to submit written reports and update monitoring systems, as well as contributing to SEN reviews.

We need someone who is resilient, resourceful and has a good sense of humour. You will also need to be responsive to change and willing to work flexibly in response to the needs of the school.

Visits to the school are welcomed and expected.
