Do you want to be part of an exciting new work stream to help improve the lives and wellbeing of others?

We are looking for a passionate, motivated individual to provide specialist prescribing and a range of clinical interventions within our substance use service, working in collaboration with the recovery caseworkers to deliver an effective, comprehensive package of care.

In this role you will:

  • Prescribe and review medication in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and local protocols.
  • Identify and assess suitability of service users for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification.
  • Assess physical and mental health needs.
  • Proactively support the prevention, identification, and treatment of blood borne viruses.
  • Support service users to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a qualified non-medical prescriber.
  • Hold a valid NMC PIN and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Have at least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance use treatment.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of clinical prescribing, harm reduction and health promotion interventions.
