We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider and Support Services for a Care Assistant, working at Levick Court for 20 hours a week.

This particular post will consist of regular, 4 hour shifts to provide support at peak times for the service, so is suitable for people who are not wanting to work long shifts.

We are looking for a care assistant to support our existing team in providing individualised care and support to the people who access our service.

Levick Court offers short stay breaks for adults with learning disabilities and is a 24 hour service.

The building is purpose built, which ensures that we can meet the needs of a wide range of individuals who access our service.

We have spacious communal areas including multi-purpose activity rooms, sensory room, media room and secure gardens available to those accessing our services.

We have domestic and catering staff on site; however, this role does involve some additional housekeeping duties.

We are looking for caring, fun, creative individuals, who can work collaboratively with our team to ensure that the people that use our service enjoy their stays.

This role will appeal to you if you have a passion for helping others, you like being involved in activities with the people that you support and want a role with flexible working hours.

Key duties of the Care Assistant post will include

  • To follow individualised plans of care
  • To support service users in their chosen activities
  • Be committed to a customer led service
  • To work as directed by senior staff You will have good communication skills which will assist in keeping people engaged during their stay.

It is desirable, though not essential, that applicants have experience of working with adults who have learning disabilities.
