ROLE OF THE JOB
You will lead or be part of a team and will carry out highways repairs/maintenance tasks including;
- Modular and block paving
- Laying insitu concrete and associated steel reinforcement
- Associated iron work (i. e., manholes, gully's, valve cases),
- Laying kerb and channels
- Installing and repairing of all types of drainage pipes and systems and operate mechanical jetting plant
- Fitting formwork and shoring-up equipment
- Fitting metal concrete bollards and excavation work.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Valid Driving Licence
- Previous experience in Highways and Construction
- Level 2 or Equivalent Qualification
- The ability to understand complex detailed spoken and written instructions, as well as plans drawings schedules and calculate work requirements and keep accurate work records.
- Able to plan, organise and prioritise resources and staff, including own time.
