The role involves:
- Leading the strategic financial management of the school, overseeing the finance team, cover provision, admin functions, and external contracts.
- Managing the whole school and departmental budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting to SLT and governors.
- Ensuring the best value for money by overseeing all external contracts.
- Supporting the school in achieving its vision of high‐quality education by promoting excellent business practice and maximising resource efficiency.
- Acting as Health & Safety Coordinator and Fire Officer.
- Being part of the SLT 'senior on‐call' rota for emergencies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Business Management Accreditation and extensive experience in this area.
- Self‐motivation, proactivity, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Financial acumen with extensive experience managing budgets and contracts.
- A strategic mindset that balances operational demands with long‐term goals.
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise.
- Calmness under pressure, with the ability to provide solutions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good communication and written skills.
- An understanding and commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people, working within a warm, supportive and close‐knit team.
