The role involves:

  • Leading the strategic financial management of the school, overseeing the finance team, cover provision, admin functions, and external contracts.
  • Managing the whole school and departmental budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting to SLT and governors.
  • Ensuring the best value for money by overseeing all external contracts.
  • Supporting the school in achieving its vision of high‐quality education by promoting excellent business practice and maximising resource efficiency.
  • Acting as Health & Safety Coordinator and Fire Officer.
  • Being part of the SLT 'senior on‐call' rota for emergencies.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Business Management Accreditation and extensive experience in this area.
  • Self‐motivation, proactivity, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Financial acumen with extensive experience managing budgets and contracts.
  • A strategic mindset that balances operational demands with long‐term goals.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise.
  • Calmness under pressure, with the ability to provide solutions and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good communication and written skills.
  • An understanding and commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
  • A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people, working within a warm, supportive and close‐knit team.
