Applications are invited for the position of Learning Support Assistant (fixed term contract linked to EHCP funding) Grade 2 (SCP 5 – 6; £25,583 – £25,989 pro rata). 25 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks). Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 0845‑1415 with 30‑minute lunch break. Required: As soon as possible.

Role Summary

We are seeking to recruit a Grade 2 Learning Support Assistant to join our successful team of school support staff. The role is to support a pupil with an EHC Plan. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (EYFS & KS1 experience is essential).

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and plan, deliver, and monitor work to meet the needs of the Educational, Health and Care Plan.
  • Adapt materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced check for Regulated Activity from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
