Grade 3 (SCP 7-11) £26,403 - £28,142 per annum
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week
Location: Sandhill Centre

Together for Children Sunderland, in partnership with the University of Sunderland, offer a three year fully funded Social Work Degree Apprenticeship. The role involves work-based learning and working toward becoming a social worker by completing the Integrated Apprenticeship Degree in Social Work (Level 6). You will acquire the skills, experience, and knowledge required to be a Social Worker with guidance and support from your line manager, who will be an experienced social worker.
The role allows development of competence in practice, in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework for Social Workers. You would work under the direction of the Team Manager and Senior Social Worker in delivering:
- Performance and Quality
- Individual and Team development
- Legislative and statutory requirements
- Support service improvements
Other requirements
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check. We will also carry out an online internet search for information that is publicly available online that might suggest you are not fit to work with children or young people.
Due to changes in UKVI rules, this role does not meet the criteria for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under the updated eligibility requirements effective 22 July 2025.
