The SEND Casework Officer role will be to co‑coordinate efficient Statutory Needs Assessments and/or Annual Review processes and placement planning for students with special educational needs and disabilities. They will provide oversight and undertake casework for young people who require an Education, Health and Care Plan, liaising with multidisciplinary agencies, parents and carers to ensure EHC plans are accurately co‑produced to meet the needs of children and young people with SEN and disabilities.

The role requires the ability to work empathetically with parents and carers and to work with a high level of accuracy when synthesising information from reports. It also requires an ability to organise priorities in line with statutory timescales for Annual Reviews.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
