The governors and Head Teacher are seeking to appoint a committed, flexible and highly motivated person to be part of our school team. The post will be based initially within our Little Acorns intervention room working under the direct instruction of our school AHT & SENCO (this will be reviewed each year where in school the position is). This intervention caters for children with significant ASD needs. We follow the EQUALS Semi Formal Curriculum.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Be an outstanding practitioner with high expectations for all children
- Have an in-depth knowledge of pupils with SEND needs, especially ASD and complex learning difficulties
- Be proficient in supporting the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning as an intervention room lead with children with significant additional needs
- Have at least 2 years’ experience of being a successful HLTA
- Be an effective communicator and keen to work in collaboration with colleagues
- Be willing to be involved in the corporate life of the school, supporting the informal as well as the formal curriculum
- Have a HLTA qualification / equivalent as NNEB and Level 4 TA qualification
