About the role
We are looking for a suitably experienced Child & Family Worker to join the Children with Disability Team. Are you passionate about supporting children with complex needs to reach their full potential? If so, then please consider joining our Children with Disabilities Team and become part of our outstanding service.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team, based at the Sandhill Centre. You will have responsibility for supporting children and young people with disabilities who access a care package of support. As part of your role, you will review care packages and ensure services are co-ordinated to best meet individual need.
Child & Family Workers also support social workers in their work with families; delivering interventions and parenting support as and when required. Experience of working with children, young people and families with disabilities is desirable but not essential. You must be a team player and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues and partner agencies. You will benefit from a manageable caseload and a high level of support.
Together for Children's current working arrangement is a pattern of agile home working and office-based working. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. We will also carry out an online internet search for information that is publicly available online that might suggest that you are not fit to work with children or young people.

- Hold a relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ Level 3, in childcare, social care or equivalent) or the ability to work towards this within a reasonable timescale.
