The Council has an exciting opportunity within our Regeneration and Housing Directorate’s Strategic Investment and Funding Team as the Regeneration Programmes Manager.

The function of the post is to maximise grant income and Council capital resources in support of the regeneration ambitions set out in the Council’s strategic plan.

The role will have primary responsibility for the oversight and administration of the two Pride in Place grants provided to the Council by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, with a combined value of £40m. The delivery of these funding programmes is a key component of the Council’s Strategic Plan, Regeneration and Housing Directorate objectives and the Mayor’s Vision.

Responsibilities

  • Programme management, governance and financial oversight of major external funding programmes, including funds arising from Central Government and Tees Valley Combined Authority.
  • The creation, support and development of strategic bids to external funding bodies and the Council funded capital programme.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the management of the oversight and administration of high value grant programmes.
  • A strong track record in the creation, development and securing of external funding.
  • Excellent knowledge of governance and compliance processes.
  • Experience of working with central Government and other funding bodies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
