Northumberland County Council is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care Countywide Occupational Therapy Service as an Occupational Therapy Team Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Technical Instructors while playing a key role in shaping service delivery, driving improvement and supporting residents to live independently and safely in their own homes and communities.

About the role
Asan Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will
- Provide operational leadership to Occupational Therapy teams across Northumberland county.
- Support staff through supervision, appraisaland professional development.
- Manage referral allocation and ensure resources are used effectively.
- Drive quality assurance, service improvement and good practice.
- Support service planning and implementation of strategic priorities.
- Make informed decisions regarding complex equipment and adaptation recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver positive outcomes for residents.

We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist who
- Is registered with HCPC.
- Has substantial Occupational Therapy experience within Adult Social Care or a related setting.
- Has experience of supervising, mentoring or managing staff.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
- Is passionate about delivering high-quality services and supporting team development.
- Can build positive relationships and lead change effectively.
- Can meet the travel requirements of the role due to this being a countywide service
