This is a fixed term role for 18 months and secondments will be considered.

In the North East, the twelve Directors of Children’s Services and their teams work together collaboratively, as a Regional Improvement and Innovation Alliance (RIIA), with a small regional team hosted by Durham County Council to deliver a range of projects and activities which support and improve children’s services. You will have experience of, and a keen interest in, children’s services and we would particularly like to hear from you if you have experience and knowledge of SEND and inclusion or education. You will be part of a small team and will be comfortable working on your own initiative. This is a home-based role, but you must be able to travel across the North East region for meetings and events.
