UNISON is Britain’s leading public sector trade union, with more than 1.3 million members working in the public services, private, voluntary and community sectors and in the energy services. We employ 1,200 staff, including approximately 370 at our national centre in Euston, central London and the remainder in our 12 regions across the UK, in Northern Ireland.

You need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our growing organisation. The Administrator will provide a range of administrative and organising support across a number of functions and specifically to support the work of the Regional Labour Link and the Regional Management Team. You will provide administrative and organisational support services undertaking a wide range of duties including maintaining diary management, producing and maintaining databases, co-ordination of meetings and events.

An important part of the role will be liaison with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally including UNISON members and other external parties, such as Labour Party members, councillors and MPs. You will need to be able to use UNISON’s IT applications and relevant office equipment. You will need to be IT proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other software packages, accurately touch typing at speed and help to maintain databases including our case management records.

For this role, you do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding and commitment with the aims and values of the trade union movement.
