About the School
Collingwood School and Media Arts College is an all age SEN school situated on the outskirts of Morpeth, Northumberland. The school provides a caring, supportive and inclusive environment which has high expectations and values all members of the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the school’s premises, staffing and financial systems and procedures, ensuring that all legal and safety requirements relating to people and property are met.
- Oversee HR and facilities management issues, monitor the resources budget, maintain financial systems and support bids for additional funding.
- Line‑manage a team of support staff, including the site manager, caretaking and cleaning team and some admin staff.
- Report to the School Business Leader.
Facilities
We have a range of facilities to provide the very best education for our young people, including an amazing library, sensory room, sensory garden, a heated swimming pool, a Personal Education Centre located in a bespoke lodge, a Pupil Support Centre situated in the heart of the school, a Well‑being centre, a conference lodge, a forest school area complete with Roundhouse and a superb media suite with animation, sound and video recording/editing facilities.
Outreach and Additional Sites
Collingwood Connect is an outreach service for pupils unable to attend full‑time education, based at our Rivergreen site. The 6th Form is based at The FUSE at Prudhoe and we have a vocational education centre based at Hepscott Park as well as our main site at Stobhillgate, Morpeth.
