Salary: £375 per day (SLE rate) plus 0.2 days (£75) per Literacy Support day allocation for associated paperwork.
Responsible to: Westgarth English Hub Lead
Purpose of the Role
To improve outcomes in communication, language and literacy by strengthening Reception practice in schools requiring the highest levels of support. The role focuses on delivering evidence-informed approaches and supporting effective implementation of early language and literacy programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality training and in-school support (virtual and face-to-face)
- Conduct audits and develop evidence-informed action plans
- Model, coach and support planning in partner schools
- Support implementation of early language programmes (e.g. NELI), including screening and progress monitoring
- Work with leaders to strengthen early language and literacy provision
- Promote effective practice and represent Westgarth English Hub
- Monitor impact, maintain accurate records and report to the Hub Lead
- Contribute to CPD and wider Hub work
