Join Our Visionary Educational Psychology Service

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Main Grade Educational Psychologist to join our dynamic and cohesive team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service that is highly regarded and embedded in local authority priorities and committed to innovation, inclusion, and impact.

- Strategic Influence & Protected Project Time: North Tyneside EPS plays a prominent role in shaping local authority initiatives. Our psychologists are commissioned to lead or contribute to projects and multi-disciplinary teams including: Connect, Mental Health team, HIVE team (multi-agency support for children in care, care leavers, previously looked after children who are adopted or under a Special Guardianship Order or those with a social worker), Early Years Partnership, ARP Development & Training – advancing Additional Resource Provisions.
- Strong University & Trainee Links: We maintain an active partnership with Newcastle University, offering supported placements for Year 1, 2 and 3 trainee educational psychologists, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Many of our former TEPs have chosen to remain at North Tyneside when qualified.
- Valued by Schools: Our Service Level Agreement is highly regarded by local authority schools, with a high level of buy-in, reflecting our commitment to high-quality service delivery. Allocations are carefully planned to allow all EPs to work into a range of settings in balance with other types of work.
- Statutory Work with Integrity: Statutory responsibilities are carefully managed in order to allow EPs to maintain a balanced and fulfilling workload. We recognise the importance of this aspect of the role alongside the need for a breadth of meaningful work in applying psychology.
