We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced teaching assistant to support our pupils with complex special educational needs. The position will include providing support to our pupils within small group and whole class settings and may also include lunch time supervision each day.

School roll: 400+ students; 39 place nursery (plus 2Y0 setting). We are a very supportive staff and can offer an exciting and stimulating learning environment and a commitment to professional development.

Job Details

  • Hours: 34.5 hours per week (8:15 am – 3:30 pm Mon - Fri).
  • Salary Grade E, point 8 Β£21,609.00 p.a., term time only + 5 days (pending pay award).
  • Contract: Fixed term from 01.09.2026 until 31.08.2027.

Qualifications

  • Hold at least a recognised NVQ level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • Have the ability to develop effective relationships with children, staff, parents/carers.
  • Have experience of working within EYFS / KS1.
  • Have experience of working with children with complex special educational needs.
  • Be proactive, resilient and committed to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Be an excellent team player.
