This is a new post created for a fast-moving industry leader who will tell our story through targeted and impactful communications, marketing and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the planning and implementation of integrated multi-channel campaigns combining the impact from great communications, marketing, engagement and public affairs practice.
  • You will work alongside the Head of Content to develop, implement and drive the outputs from strategic campaigns.
  • You will work across the CA and partners to provide advice and solutions on all aspects of communications so that colleagues leading delivery get the impact they seek.
  • You will work directly with North East Mayor Kim McGuinness, at the highest levels of Government, with our world-class industries and with the real people who matter in our diverse towns, cities and countryside.
  • You will use insight and evaluation to increase the relevance and effectiveness of campaigns, challenge established practices and bring continuous improvement.
  • You will develop the team, channel the power of our marketing-comms suppliers and work closely with partners who can help shape and amplify our voice.

About you:

  • You lead beyond authority to build relationships and get results for large and complex organisations.
  • You have a track record in producing campaigns which recognise the diversity of audiences, using evaluation and the latest techniques.
  • You have built and led high performing teams by empowering the people within them.
  • You have excellent written, verbal and reasoning skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a politically-sensitive environment.
  • You translate strategies into campaigns that cut through to make a difference.
