Overview

We have an exciting role on offer within our Community Learning service as a General Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision.

About Us

This post is a key function within the Community Learning Service part of Middlesbrough Council. The purpose of this post is to assist and support teaching within the Alternative 14-16 Provision at Community Learning’s Lingfield College.

Responsibilities

  • Support the teacher in managing the pupils and classroom.
  • Establish good relationships with pupils and support their personal needs around the implementation of personal programmes.
  • Promote the inclusion and interaction of all pupils and engage in activities.
  • Provide IAG to learners.
  • Promote Health and Wellbeing and comply with all practices and policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Learner Support and Equality and Diversity.
