The Governors and Head Teacher at Fellside Community Primary School are looking for a positive, confident and resourceful Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming team, working with amazing children.

You will, primarily, be responsible for delivering Alternate Provision nurture afternoons for a small group of children needing SEMH support, with a morning commitment of interventions (foundational skills and wellbeing) and a small amount of PPA cover.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Alternate Provision nurture afternoons for a small group of children needing SEMH support.
  • Provide a morning commitment of interventions (foundational skills and wellbeing).
  • Undertake a small amount of PPA cover.
  • Lead a small number of whole class lessons when cover is required.
Requirements
  • Have the knowledge and experience to plan for and lead groups from Early Years to 6.
  • Hold HLTA status (or equivalent).
  • Be a kind and supportive practitioner, sharing our ethos of Ambition For All.
  • Share our values of Integrity, Honesty, Tolerance and Respect and support our children to show them in their day to day school life.
  • Deliver our PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy).
  • Have a willingness to take on responsibility and to be accountable.
  • Work flexibly as part of our wider staff team and be willing to participate in all aspects of school life, including leading breaktime activities.
