An exciting opportunity has arisen at North Tyneside Council for a highly motivated and hard‑working Plumber with a gas qualification, to work within Property Services. The work will involve all gas related works including repairing, servicing and installing.
The successful candidate will become part of a committed team of skilled trades personnel who carry out a range of repairs and maintenance activity in customers' homes throughout the borough. You will be required to have excellent customer care skills, take pride in your work, and consistently deliver high quality work with a focus on completing jobs right the first time.
You will need the relevant gas qualifications and experience, and ideally a good understanding of working within social housing in a local authority, with some experience of working in tenanted homes. To fulfil this role you will attend homes anywhere in the borough and will be provided with a van to carry out the work, so a full driving licence is required.
