  • The Employment and Skills Team is seeking an

Employment Adviser to help people with health and other barriers secure employment.

This role involves managing a job‑seeker caseload, engaging local employers, and delivering results across a busy schedule while meeting challenging targets and providing a quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a ‘Job Coach’ to prepare jobseekers for work and support them through recruitment processes.
  • Effectively manage a client caseload using a person‑centred approach to help them progress toward their goals.
  • Serve as an exemplar in employer engagement, developing a strong base of contacts and becoming the first point of contact for vacancies.
  • Source and secure real job opportunities, apprenticeships, and work placements for the caseload and the wider team.
  • Provide in‑work support, visit new recruits, review progress with supervisors and update the Programme Manager.
  • Contribute to celebrating successes by providing case studies or profiles of achievements.
  • Supply data and monitoring information to the Programme Manager and to funders and partners as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent organisational and record‑management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Fidelity Scale is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated energy, passion and drive to inspire and motivate people into employment.
  • Capacity to balance a busy work schedule and achieve targets while delivering a quality service.

  • The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and requires an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including a Barred List Check.
