Help Shape Opportunities Across Northumberland. We are looking for an organised, customer-focused and proactive Employability Coordinator to join our Employability and Inclusion Team. This is an exciting opportunity to support programmes and partnerships that help residents develop skills, access opportunities and contribute to inclusive economic growth across Northumberland. You’ll play a key role in coordinating employability activities, supporting events and stakeholder engagement, and ensuring high-quality administrative and operational support across the service. Working as part of a collaborative and ambitious team, you will help deliver the vision set out in the Northumberland Economic Strategy 2035 — creating sustainable economic growth and improving opportunities for residents, communities and businesses. Working 30 hours per week, on a fixed-term 9-month basis, the role is based at County Hall but requires a mix of home working and occasional travel to other locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Coordinating delivery sessions, meetings and employability events
  • Booking venues, arranging refreshments and preparing materials
  • Supporting the delivery of employment and skills provision
  • Building strong relationships with customers, employers and stakeholders
  • Attending partnership meetings and networking events
  • Producing and distributing meeting minutes and action logs
  • Supporting website and email communications
  • Maintaining accurate customer and project records in line with GDPR
  • Collating information and evidence for compliance and reporting purposes
