The Service
The Northumberland Emotional Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Service comprises 6 qualified teachers and 5 Emotional Wellbeing and Behaviour Support Workers (EWBSW). They provide services across Northumberland, managed by the EWB Lead Practitioner, reporting to the HINT Manager. The service operates from Morpeth, working across schools and settings.
The Role
The team supports learners aged 3 to 16 with emotional wellbeing and behaviour needs, focusing on building capacity within schools through consultation and training. We seek an experienced EWB Worker with a strong background in working with children with emotional and behavioural needs, knowledge of evidence-based interventions, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to travel across a rural county.
Responsibilities include working directly with pupils, collaborating with school staff, developing support plans, delivering social/emotional programs, maintaining records, and liaising with parents.
