Overview North East Learning Trust is seeking a Director of Quality and Compliance (Primary) to lead quality improvement and compliance across our schools.

The role is highly collaborative and requires working closely with trust leaders, school heads and senior leaders to influence positive change, strengthen partnerships, and drive sustainable improvement.

The successful candidate will travel regularly across the trust and other locations throughout the North East, working flexibly across multiple sites and meeting the travel requirements of the role.

Responsibilities Lead school improvement and drive high standards of quality assurance and compliance, achieving sustained improvements in pupil outcomes.

Provide effective support, challenge and professional guidance to school leaders.

Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with Headteachers, senior leaders, trust colleagues and wider stakeholders.

Share the Trust’s commitment to ensuring that every child experiences excellence every day.

Support the development of colleagues from initial teacher education through to aspiring and established senior leaders.

Use extensive knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) to support quality assurance, self‑evaluation and school improvement.

Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and personal development.

Influence, motivate and inspire others through strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
