About the Role
We are seeking a Development Delivery Officer to join our Planning Team, to assist officers in providing an efficient and effective Development Management service specifically supporting the delivery of approved new housing developments across the Borough. You will support colleagues in providing an excellent service and making a difference within the local community. It is essential that you have a genuine enthusiasm for delivering high quality work, are self-motivated and enjoy working with and assisting colleagues within the Authority, the public and our partners. The Planning Team is made up of three teams: (1) Development Management and enforcement; (2) Planning Policy; (3) Technical Administration. This role will be within the Development Management and enforcement team.
Responsibilities
- Handle a varied caseload to support the post-decision planning processes through to construction onsite, including discharging and ensuring compliance with planning conditions.
- Monitor development on site to ensure that high quality development is delivered on site in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of local government and ability to understand the role and structure of local government.
- Experience using databases and other software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Contract
2 year Fixed Term Contract.
