School: Corbridge Middle School

Contract type: Term Time Only (plus 3 days) – 37 hrs per week

Contract term: Permanent

The Role:

  • Support Learning: Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences, adapting materials to suit diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Champion Inclusion: Provide targeted support for individuals or small groups of children, including those with SEND, ensuring everyone has an equal chance to shine.
  • Build Relationships: Be a trusted, positive role model who fosters confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
  • Creativity & Coordination: Take hands‑on responsibility for supporting our Art and Technology department, overseeing specialised learning spaces and managing resources to keep our creative hubs running smoothly.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Someone with a genuine passion for working with children and a deep commitment to inclusivity.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, patience, and a great sense of humour.
  • Experience supporting children with a diverse range of needs (academic, behavioural, or physical). While not strictly essential, we are particularly keen to hear from candidates who possess relevant experience.
  • Thrive Approach Experience/Training – to help us continue building emotional resilience and well‑being.
  • ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Qualification – to deliver targeted emotional support to children navigating big feelings.
