We have an exciting role on offer within our Community Learning service as a Community Learning Tutor (Alternative provision).
About Us
This post is a key function within the Community Learning Service part of Middlesbrough Council. The purpose of this post is to teach 14-16 Alternative provision students (Lingfield College).
Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative and effective teaching, learning and assessment to encourage learners to engage and make continued progress whilst working towards achievement. Provide any relevant information, advice and guidance to support this.
- Be responsible for developing a scheme of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact and undertake preparation prior to lessons with follow up work after each session.
- Ensure classroom management is addressed in all areas of the curriculum delivery. Ensure teaching support is specifically directed and effective in all aspects of the teaching environment.
- Promote, English, mathematics and ICT skills and ensure they are embedded within the programme delivery. This should also include British Values, Prevent, Safeguarding and Equality & diversity.
- Make a contribution to the personal and social development of learners and equip them with the necessary behaviours and attitudes necessary for future success.
