Responsibilities:
- Patrol the streets, bus lanes and public car parks of North Tyneside to ensure compliance with parking restrictions and discourage non-compliance by issuing Penalty Charge Notices to drivers who ignore the restrictions in force.
- Assist the cash collection team in the collection and banking of monies from pay and display machines.
Qualifications:
- Current valid driving licence.
- Trustworthy with excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Assertive and polite when dealing with members of the public.
- Physically capable of standing and walking for sustained periods outdoors across the borough.
Shift Patterns:
The role is predominantly based outdoors and requires a flexible working pattern on a duty rota. Minimum 37 hours per week. Rota operates between 8am – 10pm, including bank holidays and weekends. Normal shift patterns are 8am – 4pm, 10am – 6pm, and 2pm – 10pm.
