Salary: NJC 12-15 £26,375 – £27,690 (based on 37 hours) + well‐being cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

Hours: 30–37 hours per week (flexible) for 42 weeks per year

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a Children in Care Education Coordinator to coordinate and oversee support for children who have had a social worker or are in kinship care. The role is fast‐paced and focuses on administration, coordination and early intervention to ensure no child slips through gaps.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule PEP (personal education plan) meetings, reviews and multi‐agency meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records, action logs and case files, tracking progress, attendance, behaviour and safeguarding concerns.
  • Monitor key data and flag emerging issues or risks that may impact educational success.
  • Liaise daily with internal teams and external services to ensure timely communication and joined‐up support.
  • Work with local stakeholders and partnership organisations.
  • Support leaders with reports, follow‐up actions, documentation and compliance with statutory processes.

Candidate Criteria

  • Strong administrative and coordination experience in education, social care, health or similar settings.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator able to work professionally with a range of services and stakeholders.
  • Experience tracking information, identifying concerns and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
