Children and Family Practitioner
Our Best Start Family Hubs are expanding following the government’s Best Start in Life agenda, and we are now recruiting for Children and Family Practitioners to help deliver this exciting programme across our localities.
Children and Family Practitioners play a crucial role in supporting families and improving outcomes for young children.
Responsibilities
- Deliver parenting support: provide evidence based parenting support through group sessions in our Best Start Family Hubs, community venues and home learning environments.
- Lead play‑based activities: plan and deliver high quality, development focused activities that inspire children’s learning and strengthen family relationships.
- Build trusting relationships: engage families with empathy and persistence, particularly where barriers to participation exist.
- Work collaboratively: working with a wide range of professionals is key to ensure families feel confident and supported in their child’s learning journey.
Qualifications
- Passionate about supporting families.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable.
- Skilled at engaging both families and professionals.
- Experience in working with children, young people, or family focused services.
