Hemlington Hall Academy – Catering Assistant
Pay Scale: Grade C, SCP 6 (£25,989 FTE | Actual Salary: £6,332 per annum)
Contract: Permanent | 10 hours per week | Term Time plus 5 days
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 1:30pm
Required: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Support the established catering team at Hemlington Hall Academy.
- Carry out food preparation and handling in line with health and safety standards.
- Assist with maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
- Help with food service during term time and on the 5 additional days.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid knowledge of food handling and hygiene.
- Enthusiastic, hard‑working, reliable and trustworthy.
- Highly motivated, well‑organised, with attention to detail.
- Commitment to the wellbeing of children.
- Successful DBS clearance is required.
