Hemlington Hall Academy – Catering Assistant

Pay Scale: Grade C, SCP 6 (£25,989 FTE | Actual Salary: £6,332 per annum)

Contract: Permanent | 10 hours per week | Term Time plus 5 days

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 11:30am – 1:30pm

Required: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

  • Support the established catering team at Hemlington Hall Academy.
  • Carry out food preparation and handling in line with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Help with food service during term time and on the 5 additional days.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid knowledge of food handling and hygiene.
  • Enthusiastic, hard‑working, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Highly motivated, well‑organised, with attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the wellbeing of children.
  • Successful DBS clearance is required.
