We would love to welcome you to our friendly, supportive team here at Lanark Close Short Breaks Service. This is an as‑needed role, offering you the flexibility to pick up shifts that fit around your existing commitments. Lanark Close Short Breaks Service provides support for adults living in the Borough of Stockton‑On‑Tees with an identified Learning Disability.

The role of a Support Worker involves promoting independent personal care skills, daily living skills and social activities, increasing their confidence and helping them be as independent as possible in all aspects of their lives.

All you need to be a success is:

  • Professional knowledge and experience of working in a care or caring setting and / or NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathy and a passion to support others
  • Motivated to provide the best possible support to our clients
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
