Newsham Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Band 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners in providing a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where our youngest children can thrive. The successful candidate will support the learning, development and wellbeing of children within our Early Years setting, helping to ensure every child achieves their full potential.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working with young children, ideally within an Early Years setting.
- Understands the importance of play-based learning and child development.
- Demonstrates patience, warmth and enthusiasm when working with children.
- Can support children's learning through both adult-led and child-initiated activities.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Works effectively as part of a team and is committed to supporting the values and ethos of the school.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The successful candidate will support pupils both individually and in groups, assist with the preparation of learning activities and resources, and contribute to creating a safe, engaging and stimulating environment for all children.
