Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve around 150 meals each day in a busy kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with a small kitchen team.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and encourage healthy eating habits.
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and supportive approach while helping children.
  • Be flexible, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Stand in for the Unit Manager in their absence when required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (arranged through school if necessary).
  • Relevant qualifications as detailed in the job description.
  • Ability to stand in for the Unit Manager.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pre-existing commitment to safeguarding, with an enhanced criminal records check required.

Working Pattern:

  • 16 hours per week, 10:30 am – 2:00 pm every weekday.
