Community Occupational Therapist Permanent, full time 37 hours, based in our North Team, located in either Alnwick or Berwick (office base to be agreed at interview). We are looking for an Occupational Therapist, newly qualified or experienced, who wants to start or progress their career in a highly rewarding area of work where they can make a real difference to the lives of residents and clients.
Role Scope
- Involve with adult residents experiencing a wide range of health and social care needs.
- Activities include assessment, provision of basic and complex equipment, adaptation recommendations and manual handling assessments.

- Deliver excellence and quality in occupational therapy service provision.
- Put residents first, ensuring timely and efficient meeting of identified needs.
- Show respect for service users and colleagues alike.

- Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Salary
NCC Salary Band 7: £35,412 - £39,152 (equivalent to NHS band 6).
Benefits & Development
- All newly appointed Occupational Therapists will complete a structured Occupational Therapy Preceptorship Programme, lasting up to 12 months depending on individual experience. The programme provides supported development, regular supervision and learning opportunities to embed practice and progress towards autonomous, confident practice.
- 26 days annual leave plus public/bank holidays (rising to 31 days after 5 years of service, pro rata for part‑time).
- Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Flexi scheme – up to 2 days flexible leave per month (pro rata for part‑time).
